The book is coming along nicely.

I'm not a big fan of talking about unfinished projects in public. It seems to be one of the best ways of making sure such projects crash and burn in humiliating and infuriating ways. However, I'll trust in the gods of fate and post a little status update.

We've received articles from 15 authors, covering 10 countries (if I'm not mistaken). The articles are at the proofreading stage. We've produced a dummy version of the book to test print quality and process, and everything seems to be in order. So we're pretty happy. "Relaxed" would be the wrong word, though.

The book will be around 220 pages, with some color inserts. We're still not entirely sure of the title. But we do have a cover image that we love.

If everything goes well (fingers crossed), you'll be able to read the book online two weeks before Knutepunkt. We're very interested to see how that will work out; traditionally, nobody has the time to actually read the book during KP, so it's not something that gets much attention during the festival itself. We hope that making the book available a little earlier will encourage people to read it at their leisure, as a preparation for and build-up to Knutepunkt 2009.

Any questions regarding the book should be sent to knutebok09 [at] yahoogroups [dot] com.
